Book drive delivers
O’Hara Park Middle School leadership students recently collected
over 900 gently worn books for donation to the Oakland
Children’s Hospital patient library. The students hand-delivered
the books to Children’s Hospital, where they were given a tour
of the facility and treated to dinner by their teacher, Erin Freyler. The
students were able to nearly triple the size of the hospital’s patient
library. Participants, from left, were Taryn Ternes, Emily Harris, Shannon
