Brentwood welcomed home its latest
returnee from Iraq this week with a thunderous,
grin-inducing, hug-fi lled reception
that many are hoping to repeat.
When Airman 1st Class Joshua Jorgenson
stepped off a plane at the Oakland
Airport Tuesday, he was met, as he expected,
by his brother Zach, sister Krystal
and parents Diane and Lance. What he
wasn’t ready for was a line of more than a
dozen fl ag-waving members of the Patriot
Guard Riders (PGR) motorcycle group

“When I saw them, I said, ‘This
can’t be for me,’” Jorgensen said. “I was

“When I looked in the rear-view mirror,
all I could see was bikes,” grinned
Jorgensen. “The sound in the (Caldecott)

When it arrived in Brentwood, the

friends, family, neighbors and members

were there, too, as was Mayor Bob Taylor

“I’m glad you’re a part of our community,”
Taylor told Jorgensen. “This
