Brentwood Bulldog County Fair
The whole family is sure to have fun at the
annual Bulldog County Fair, held Friday, May 16
from 5-8 p.m. at Brentwood Elementary School,
200 Griffith Lane. The fair will feature bounce
houses, carnival games, food, music, raffles and

Revival
First Missionary Baptist Church, 640 E. Tregallas

Water Safety Day
A lifejacket giveaway for kids up to 5 years

Scout-O-Rama
On Saturday, May 17 from 9:15 am-3 p.m. at
Antioch’s Prewett Family Water Park, you can
see what scouting is all about in a fun-filled day

The Hollywood Connection
The Antioch Historical Society, 1500 W. Fourth
St., invites you to a Theater Dedication and Gala
Dinner on Saturday, May 17. The ribbon cutting
takes place at 11 a.m. A meet-and-greet
is scheduled with Tyler Steelman and Michael
Semanick, a two-time Oscar winner, from 11:30-
1 p.m. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40.

Support Our Troops Garage Sale
The Delta Blue Star Moms Annual Garage Sale
will be held on Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m.

Chili Cook-off
Whose chili will reign supreme? On Saturday,
May 17 from 6-10 p.m. at the Brentwood
Community Center, come out to an evening
of entertainment with music and comedy – a
guest from the Oakland Raiders will even be

Chest Grant, begun by the late Rose Pierce to
support Delta Community Services, Inc. For

Meals on Wheels Benefit 2008

Reading Festival

Sunday, May 18
Day of the Children
One Day At A Time, a youth diversion organization,
is hosting the first Dia de los Niños,
a traditional Mexican event celebrating children.
The bi-lingual bash for kids ages 2 to 14,
featuring 20 jump houses, water slides and
live music, takes place May 18 from noon to
5 p.m. on the Liberty Alternative Education
campus, 929 Second St. in Brentwood.
Admission is free. Food items will be available

Garden Tour
The GFWC Woman’s Club of Antioch and the
Antioch Rivertown Garden Club will host a
Garden Tour on Sunday, May 18 from 11 a.m.-
3 p.m. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased
at Fine Things, 314 G St., or Garden Source,
606 W. Second St., both in Antioch. The tour
will visit eight gardens and drive by four civic
gardens. This is a great opportunity for you to

Spoiling For a Cure

Morgan Territory Preserve
