El Campanil takes you back
The Antioch Classical Theatre Company
(ACTC) is embarking on its third and
most ambitious season yet. This summer
season will include two of Shakespeare’s
most beloved and poignant works, “Hamlet”
and “As You Like It,” from July 18
through 26.
Performances take place at the El
Campanil Theatre, 602 W. Second St. in
downtown Antioch. Tickets for adults are
$12; $10 for seniors, children and students.

The Free Saturday Summer Concert
Series continues this weekend with
Vocal-ease & The Boogie Men at the
Antioch Historical Society from 7 to 9
p.m. The concerts continue July 26 to
Aug. 23 at Prewett Park, on the lawn
area outside the park, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Children’s entertainment runs from 6
to 6:45 p.m., and all-age entertainers
will perform from 7 to 9 p.m.

Evening presented by GATO; on Aug.
2, it’s Asheba and Mariachi Ortega; on
Aug. 9, Lori & RJ and Soul Heaven; on
Aug. 16, Bingo Schmingo and Harvey

seats when “S.O.S.,” “Super Trooper” and
“Dancing Queen” are re-created with such
precision you’ll swear you were listening to
the originals. The melodies of “Fernando”
and “Chiquitita” will rekindle those feelings
of fi rst loves. “Take a Chance on Me”
and “Voulez Vous” will lift you out of your
seat to dance.
Reserved seating tickets are $45 for
Gold Circle seating (fi rst three rows); $32
for adults; $28 for seniors (62 and over);
and $15 for students and children under
18. Tickets may be purchased in advance
(for no service fee) at the El Campanil
ticket offi ce, 602 W. Second St., Mondays
through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
