reported by East County police departments.
BRENTWOOD
Aug. 8, 9:25 a.m. At the Highway 4 Bypass
and Balfour Road, a driver stopped for vehicle
code violations was found to be driving on
a suspended license. He was cited and released
on a Notice to Appear.
Aug. 8, 12:23 p.m. On Collette Court, a subject
was found to be too intoxicated to care for
his own safety. He was arrested and transported
to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Aug. 8, 12:44 p.m. An unidentified driver
struck a parking lot exit gate on American
Avenue and fled the scene without leaving
contact information. The impact broke the
lock on the gate.
Aug. 8, 1:45 p.m. At the intersection of Second
Street and Brentwood Boulevard, an
unidentified driver rear-ended another vehicle
and fled scene.
Aug. 8, 3:20 p.m. An unidentified person used
the debit card of a resident of Little John Way
to access his bank account.
Aug. 9, 10:40 a.m. A vehicle was stolen from
in front of a residence on Chestnut Street.
Aug. 9, 4:22 p.m. At the Oakland Coliseum
parking lot, an unidentified person stole a vehicle
belonging to a resident of Alexander Way.
Aug. 9, 6:20 p.m. An unidentified person
broke a flowerpot at a residence on East
Country Club Drive.
Aug. 10, 12:45 a.m. On Balfour Road, a driver
stopped for a vehicle code violation was found
to be Driving Under the Influence. He was arrested
and released on a Promise To Appear.
Aug. 10, 2:37 a.m. On Lone Tree Way, two
unidentified persons shot a man, who was
transported to John Muir Medical Center.
Aug. 10, 7:30 a.m. On La Costa Drive, an
unidentified person entered a vehicle through
an unlocked door and stole a TomTom GPS
system.

ANTIOCH
Aug. 17, 1:57 a.m. Antioch Police responded
to a report of a fight with possible shots fired
in the 2000 block of Lone Tree Way. Upon arrival,
officers found a large crowd in the lot.
No victims were located. A short time later,
Sutter Delta Medical Center called to report
that a 20-year-old victim of gunshot wounds
had been transported to their emergency
room by private vehicle. It was determined
that the victim, suffering from multiple gunshot
wounds and in serious condition, had
been shot at the fight on Lone Tree Way. He
was transferred to John Muir Trauma Center
in Walnut Creek. The victim’s name is being
withheld pending notification of family
members. Those with information regarding
this investigation should contact the Antioch
Police Department’s Investigations Bureau at
925-779-6926.
Aug. 19, 11 a.m. A 15-year-old Antioch
resident driving a sport utility vehicle was
westbound on Davison Drive when she lost
control of her vehicle and struck a bicyclist,
22-year-old Ralph Cherry, in the westbound
bicycle lane of Davison Drive at Harbour
Drive. The bicyclist, also an Antioch resident,
was flown by helicopter to John Muir
Trauma Center, where he was listed in critical
condition. At the time of the collision, the
driver was driving on a learner’s permit and
her licensed grandfather was in the vehicle. It
was concluded that drugs or alcohol played
no part in the incident.

Aug. 11 – An adult was reported missing on
the 1800 block of Babbe Street.
Aug. 11 – A driver was found to be Under
the Influence on Main Street at Vintage
Parkway.
Aug. 11 – A police officer was battered on the
1400 block of Chianti Way.
Aug. 11 – A case of forgery and fraudulent
documents occurred on the 2500 block of
Main Street.
Aug. 11 – Credit card fraud was reported
by a resident of the 4100 block of Sequoia

Aug. 12 – A resident of the 4800 block of
Claret Court was a victim of petty theft.
Aug. 12 – A residence on the 4000 block of
Woodhaven Lane was vandalized.
Aug. 13 – A stolen vehicle was recovered on
the 4700 block of Thomas Drive.
Aug. 13 – A vehicle accident with property
damage took place on Brown Road.
Aug. 13 – A hit-and-run incident occurred
on the 2300 block of El Monte Drive.
Aug. 13 – A strong-arm robbery was reported
on the 5500 block of Bridgehead Road.
Aug. 13 – A residence on the 4200 block of
Mahaffey Way was burglarized.
Aug. 13 – Grand theft was reported on the
100 block of Celsia Way.
Aug. 13 – Illegal entry on 100 block of Minaret
Rd.
Aug. 14 – A marijuana grow was discovered
on the 300 block of Brookview Drive.
Aug. 14 – An armed robbery took place on
Malicoat Avenue.
Aug. 14 – Driving under the influence on
Gardenia Ave./Main St.
Aug. 14 – Vehicle burglaries were reported
on the 700 block of Solitude Drive, the 100
block of Renoir Court, the 100 block of
Little Ranch Circle, the 3200 block of Main
Street and the 100 block of Vitruvius Court.
