The 2008 Fit Fest & Fun Run will feature a
5k-10k marathon, live music, hula hoop contests,
field events and free health screenings.
Participants in the event can enter a free raffle
with a chance to win mountain bikes and helmets.
The Fit Fest & Fun Run takes place from
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Los Medanos College, 2700
E. Leland Road in Pittsburg. The marathon

Chris Aid – Cher the Love
A community event in support of Chris “Cher”
Robinson will be held at De Luna Ranch,

East County History Comes Alive
The East Contra Costa Historical Society &
Museum, 3890 Sellers Ave. in Brentwood/
Knightsen, is open from April through
October every Saturday and third Sunday
of the month from 2-4 p.m. The museum
is home to an 1878 farm house, school
house, assorted antique farm tractors and
equipment, Model T’s, fire truck and even
