O’Hara Park and Delta Vista
middle school students will pool
their fl air for the dramatic in their
upcoming spring play, “Our Teacher
Is an Alien.” The play is a mysterious
comedy about a group of
middle school students convinced
that their new math teacher is not
who – or what – she seems to be.
They decide to investigate
her odd behavior and come to
the stunning conclusion that
their teacher is a space alien. But

play opens Friday, May 16 at 7
p.m. in the Glenn C. Scrimmager
Gymnasium at O’Hara Park Middle
School. The performance on
Saturday, May 17 will begin at 2
p.m. General admission is $3; $2
for those with an O’Hara Park or
Delta Vista student body card.
Kids 6 and under are admitted for

Freedom High School recently announced
its Academy Awards for the 2007-08 school
year.
The ninth-grade Certifi cate Award went to
Connor Nasty, Kimberly Vandiford, Jesus Salgado,
Elizabeth Bailey, Nathan Klein, Corinne
Stinnette, Jacob Ubrick and Claire Joseph.
Recipients of the 10th-grade Certifi cate
Award were Nicholas Arroyo, Christina Barajas,
Jason Cabbiness, Emily Perry, Dominic
Dimercurio, Kirstie Strelo, Trevor Pels and
Christina Klein.
The 11th-grade Certifi cate Award winners
were Tyler Brown, Dixy Morales, Christopher

and Kylie Pacini.
The 12th-grade Certifi cate Award went to
