activity reported by East County police departments.
BRENTWOOD
July 7, 6:11 a.m. An unidentifi ed person
stole a vehicle from the driveway of a residence
on Spruce Street.
July 7, 5:11 p.m. An unidentifi ed driver
struck a vehicle parked on Second Street
and failed to leave contact information.
July 7, 5:34 p.m. On Brentwood Boulevard,
a subject made a vague threat.
July 7, 6:41 p.m. An unidentifi ed person
punched the driver’s side door lock of a vehicle
parked on Balfour Road and removed
a laptop computer.
July 7, 11:22 p.m. Three subjects contacted
at the intersection of Brentwood Boulevard
and Village Drive were found to be confi
rmed gang members. One of them was
released to a parent on a Juvenile Affi davit.
July 8, Midnight An unidentifi ed person
entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Eaton
Court and stole coins from the ashtray.
July 8, 9:42 a.m. Gasoline was stolen from
a vehicle parked on Waterville Drive.
July 8, 3:48 p.m. An unidentifi ed person
forced open the driver’s door of a locked
vehicle parked on Guthrie Lane and stole a
pair of Everlast boxing gloves.
July 8, 10:15 p.m. On Dainty Avenue at
Walnut Boulevard, the driver of a motorcycle
stopped for vehicle code violations was
found in possession of a stolen license plate
and displayed symptoms of DUI. He was
arrested and transported to the Martinez
Detention Facility.
July 8, 10:41 p.m. A driver northbound on
Brentwood Boulevard at Guthrie Lane diverted
her attention from the roadway and
ran into the shrubs.

July 9, 4 p.m. Antioch Police Sexual Assault
detectives had been seeking the arrest
of 51-year-old Ismael Monasterio Parazo,
who is alleged to have molested two of
his three daughters. The oldest daughter
came forward and disclosed to authorities
how she has been molested and raped by
her father in the family home for approximately
15 years. She alleged that some of
the molestation and rape was videotaped
by her father while the youngest daughter
lay on his bed next to them. The information
was confi rmed after videotapes were
seized from the father’s bedroom during
the service of a search warrant by the Antioch
Police Dept Sexual Assault Unit. An

High School has some important information concerning the upcoming
school year we want to share with you. Stay informed with these
“Highlights” each month in the Brentwood Press. Please attend our
monthly meeting, open to all parents of Heritage students, the second
Tuesday of the month in the Staff lounge at 7:00 p.m.
WALK THRU: Will be held July 16th-17th or July 21st-22nd from 12:00
noon-7:00 p.m. in the multi-use room at Heritage. Go to the Heritage website:
www.libertyuhsd.k12.ca.us/heritage to find the online forms necessary for
walk-thru. Fill them out at home and bring them with you to save time.
FRESHMEN ORIENTATION: July 23rd from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. in the gym.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: Is Monday July 28th.
BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT: Is Tuesday August 12th. Come to the Parents Club

GRAD NIGHT 2009: will be here before you know it! Seniors, purchase your
2009 Grad night tickets in advance at walk-thru for $65.00. After July 23 the
price increases to $80.00. Price is $90.00 at the door, night of the party.
MEMORY BRICKS: Memory Bricks are available through the Patriot Parents
Club. This is an excellent way for parents to honor their students experiences
and to commemorate their Patriot experience. You may purchase a brick with
engraved brass plate, layed in the walkway for $50.00. Your choice of design from
the set templates. Download the form and return it to the Parents Club either at
walk-thru, drop it off at the front office or mail it to the address listed on the form.
Forms will also be available at walk-thru. The first bricks have been layed in front
of the gymnasium.

arrest warrant was issued for Parazo in the
amount of $1,250,000. On July 12 at 1:30
a.m., the department received information
that Parazo was en route to the Delta
Bowl on Delta Fair Boulevard to see one of
his children. Offi cers on the scene arrested
Parazo, who was carrying a large amount
of cash. He was taken to the Martinez Detention
Facility, where he was booked on
his warrant.
July 10, 8:31 p.m. The Antioch Police
Department and Contra Costa County
Sheriff’s Offi ce hosted a S.P.A.C.E. detail in
the city of Antioch. The SPACE Team is a
multi-agency attempt to ensure that sexual
predators and offenders throughout the
county are held accountable for their actions.
A dozen county agencies participated
in contacting more than 172 convicted sex
offenders in Antioch. One such offender,
50-year-old Kevin Mueller, was arrested as
a result of a probation search at his house
during the detail. During an initial search
of his computer, more than 200 images of
child pornography were found. Mueller
was arrested for possession of child pornography
with the intent to distribute, and a
probation violation. The investigation is ongoing
and a further search of his computers
will be occurring this week.

July 7, 5:34 p.m.
partment received a call from the clerk at the
7-Eleven store at 2707 Contra Loma Blvd.,
advising that two men – one armed with a
handgun – had just entered the store and
robbed him. An extensive perimeter was
set up, and an offi cer in the area of Claudia
Court saw the subjects, who fl ed on
foot toward Highway 4. An offi cer and his
K9 located the subjects hiding in the shrubbery
along the highway at the G Street offramp.
The subjects were identifi ed as those
responsible in the robbery and were booked
at the Antioch Police Department. Pittsburg
resident Melvin Bryant, 21, was sent to the
Martinez Detention Facility, and a 16-yearold
Antioch male was sent to Juvenile Hall.
July 15, 3:24 a.m. The Antioch Police Department
received a call stating that a man
had interrupted a vehicle burglary, and when
he confronted the burglars, he was shot
once in the leg. The subjects fl ed the scene
in a vehicle and were not located. Upon
arrival, offi cers found the victim, a 22-yearold
Antioch resident, in the intersection of
Coffee Tree Way and Almond Ridge Drive
suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported to a local hospital
for treatment.
