Sgt. Robert Calhoun Sgt. P. Heather Hubbard Spc. April Compton
Bruce and Debra Calhoun of Oakley are father and stepmother to three members of the U.S. Army. Sgt. Robert
Calhoun is a medic, infantryman and instructor with the California National Guard. He is currently stateside after
serving in Kosovo at Camp Montieth. Calhoun’s duties include teaching medic techniques and “greeting” the new
recruits Camp Parks in Dublin. Sgt. P. Heather Hubbard (Calhoun) trained in NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) and was
stationed in Korea at Camp Casey. She is presently stationed at Ft. Bliss in Texas. Whenever and wherever the Army needs
temporary living quarters (a “tent city”) installed and maintained, Spc. April Compton (Calhoun) and her unit are there to
get the job done. Bruce and Debra Calhoun are proud of their soldier son and daughters and grateful that they’re home.

set for Saturday, Sgt. John D. Aragon
Aug. 23 at the
American Legion Hall, 403 W. Sixth St. in
Antioch. In addition to the satisfaction of
giving the gift of life in honor of the country’s
protectors, all donors will receive a coupon for
a pint of ice cream from Baskin Robbins and
be entered in a drawing for free gas cards.
