City of Oakley
It’s been a big year for Oakley in terms
of growth and development. The city
recently completed construction on the
Civic Center Plaza – home to City Hall, the
Oakley Police Department and the Community
Park. Work also continues on the Delta
Science Center, a research, education and
restoration facility designed to help restore
the quality of the Delta and provide research
data to the science community.
Oakley’s leaders are striving to balance
growth in the city, incorporated in 1999,
with its small-town appeal and rich agricultural
heritage. The community of over
30,000 residents boasts an abundance of
parks and expanded recreational opportunities.
Among Oakley’s popular community
events are the annual Almond Festival, held
in the fall, and the free First Fridays concert
series, which takes advantage of Oakley’s
balmy summer nights.

Oakley folk
haven’t forgotten
that the city’s
roots go deep.
Whether it’s
horses or just
horsing around
(at the annual
Almond Festival),
Oakley’s a
place where
a storied past
and a dynamic
present form
a harmonious
whole.
